Photos in the cold

Well if you are going to call yourself a true outdoor photographer then you better be prepared to get outside and take a photo or two. Although I complain about the cold I am aware of the wonderful photo opportunities that you can only get during winter. Sure wandering around can be a much bigger deal with the snow and ice but when you walk into a scene that is worth the trek then somehow it doesn’t feel so cold. Ice makes a great photographic subject because it never moves and it will sit there as long as you need it to. And if you come back to it a few days later it will have on a totally new look.

  4. Brrrr … were lucky to see one or two frost each year. I grew up in Northeast Ohio so I remember the cold but your fantastic photos make me want to schedule a trip for the Winter. Thanks for sharing!
